We had a fantastic stay at a thoughtful establishment in a great location! The staff was friendly and check-in was quick and efficient. The reception was helpful in answering our enquiries and making reservations. The shower facilities were top-notch and the overall value for money was excellent. Located within walking distance to many attractions, it was the perfect spot to explore the city. The YHA experience was truly one of the best! I highly recommend this hostel.

Brilliant Location, staff and facilites
I fell asleep in the tv room, and got awoken @ 6.30am to a guy who was cleaning, and he wouldnt believe I was staying there despite me giving him my room number and showing him my door key - he insisted on making me feel like an idiot/criminal by taking me to the desk, talking to me like crap, and going through his list!!

The hostel was equipped with two fully equipped kitchens, making it convenient for cooking. I also appreciated having my own locker in the room, complete with a power supply. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hostel was bicycle-friendly with parking and tools available. I would recommend this hostel for its amenities and pleasant atmosphere.

There was an error in the booking and instead of booking me for Saturday night as I had done through another online booking system, they book me for Sunday. Once they realised the mistake they were most accomadating, friendly and gave me a good discount. I was happy with the way they handled the matter and the discount but the room was of an inferior standard.

The staff is awasome, very nice and the control the floors and rooms for security and quiet. I really recommend YHA Wellington. Shared facilities, kitchen and bathrooms were very clean, this is fantastic! Keep it like this !
As for any hostel, I wish that all the travellers were respectful of the othe people and keep quiet, clean. This basic good manners depends on people only. The staff at YHA W is ready to help anytime, if any problems occur.

Awesome place to stay during Easter! the staff at the front desk were lovely and really helpful. the rooms were big and comfortable, offering great value for the price, especially in a city as expensive as Wellington. the location was superb, with Te Papa and a supermarket just a stone's throw away. the kitchen was fully stocked and the bathrooms/showers were nice. Despite it being high season, there were plenty of places to eat dinner. Bonus points for the comfortable beds and the free WiFi that actually worked well!
There were a couple of things that could be improved. there was no on-site parking, but the hostel provided a coupon for a parking lot just a short 10-minute walk away.

This hotel is great value for money, with very reasonable prices for its central location. It is conveniently located in the heart of the city, right where Courtenay Place begins. Additionally, it is situated across the road from a supermarket, making it convenient for any groceries you may need during your stay.
No major issues, everything was satisfactory.

Convenient for central city nightlife and shopping and te papa, excellent helpful and friendly staff, great coffee on site made breakfast easy.
No complaints but a Foosball table would have been a bonus!...almost booked at a competitor that had one, it was a factor in our search!

I recently stayed at a budget-friendly backpackers in the heart of this city. The location was ideal as it was across from a popular grocery store and within walking distance to the main museum and a variety of cafes. The hotel facilities were impressive, with a focus on recycling and green environment. The staff was accommodating and interactive, and my special requests were taken into consideration. Moreover, I was pleased with the cleanliness of my shared bathroom and single room.
Couldn't stay longer.
